Here's another lawsuit for you: Why are both of Gary Neal's kids Specialty Reps? You have shifted and swindled so that they didn't have to work for their dad and put their interests in front of those more deserving. Or just smile and say Texas still has 25ish of the 33 Gold Cup spots in the West "So I did my job!" Hire an unknown and watch the rest of the reps run as the new DM's leadership skills may or may not exist. What are you going to do now with your reality. You have hired too many Gold Cup winners who were lucky or timely and in it for the title or promotion.
True most DM's are a dime a dozen, but in times like these true leaders who put there people before their position help others get through the change. Win or lose they put their team first and worked hard for them. The 3 mentioned in other posts HV, JK and DH were leaders whom your people trusted and respected. You have let great DM's in the West leave on your watch and therefore the rest of us looking for leadership that doesn't exist. You have let good people walk because of the Texas blinders you wear and the lack of leadership you provide your people. Well WP, that is the reality you are living in.
Or, you begin to see limitations in the line that justify making a change to a different product.Let's just imagine you wake up one day and your new product is approved with a BB warning, a CIA is put in place, and you need to figure out how to retain people which are leaving quicker than leaves from a Maple tree in Kansas in October. Once you really understand how your line actually functions as you fish with it, fishing success increases. Line is a tool, just like a rod and reel are. But learning how to use them in the applications that are most typical on the water is very important. Today's fishing lines are very well made. We use a 15# test fluorocarbon leader in this application. of lead and big spoon down to 80 feet in search of big lakers. And it will take a three-way with 8-10 oz. It works perfectly on our planer boards with both stickbaits and crawler harnesses. The lightest tap from a walleye is easily detected, even in 40 or more feet of water.Īndy and I use this same line on our trolling rods, too. It casts very well and can handle a 3 oz. I beef up to 14# FireLine for a casting reel and medium-power rod.
The FireLine has the diameter of 4# mono and it is very smooth, sensitive, tough and durable. I add a 3 foot fluorocarbon leader of 10# test between the FireLine and lure.
I use 10# Berkley FireLine on a medium-light or medium-power spinning rod for casting, rigging and jigging. This includes spinning, casting and trolling applications. I've settled upon super lines for just about everything these days. All these lines have worked to connect me to fish. This includes mono, dacron, lead core, co-polymer, and fluorocarbon as well as fused and braided superlines. I've tried many lines over the past 50 years while fishing lakes rivers and streams. Hi Brad…You bring up an interesting topic that I routinely wonder about.
